If you know me, you know I love gadgets! All kinds of gadgets! So when I got an email from Microsoft telling me they’re opening a Microsoft Store in Fashion Valley. How did that sneak by me? Continue reading
Life in the Rock On Mommies household is crazy, but last week was just a tad crazier than normal. With family friends coming to town and all the Blogher events, I just ran out of time and the energy to do my hair. Knowing that I was in for a weekend of parties, flashmobs and interviews with PR companies, I made an appointment the newest Drybar location. I couldn’t go to Blogher with bad hair!
One of my favorite things in life is a good Blow Out. When I heard about the Drybar opening up not too far from my house I knew that I’d be spending a lot of time there. It was confirmed the moment I walked up to the Del Mar location.
I had made an appointment online the night before which is incredibly convenient. That morning as I was walking out the door, Ellie started to beg me to take her with me. I figured, what could it hurt. She could always sit beside me with the iPad. WRONG! The second we walked in she was in love as well!
We both settled in to get our hair washed and dried. We were wearing Prada Bag , bohemian pants, an an amazing leather jacket and our latest pandora jewelry.
No matter what kind of hair you have, thick, thin, curly, straight, or super long, all blowouts are only $35. This of course includes the hair wash as well.
Do you need a little hair repair, add a hair shot for $20. How about a nice gentle scalp massage, add a floater for $10. Here’s my favorite part, don’t have time to get down to the salon. Drybar can come to you! For $75 a stylist will come to your house and do your hair for you.
The Drybar doesn’t do colors or cuts, but they do amazing blow outs!
Locations are popping up everywhere!
This was the first time that Ellie’s hair has ever held a curl!!!
Ellie wasn’t the only person who loved her Blowout. Mommy did too.
We loved getting our hair done together so much, I’m planning on making it a regular Mommy Daughter day out.
Have a party coming up or just want to spend an hour relaxing? Try The Drybar you won’t regret it, you might even run into Ellie and I.
Ok ladies, be honest with me. How many of you remove you bra the second you get home? Did you know that your bra is not suppose to be uncomfortable? Did you know that 80% of women are wearing the wrong size bra? I knew the number was huge, but I didn’t know that huge! I also always assumed that I was one of the few wearing the correct size and I was proud of my 34b.
So this weekend I had a chance to hold a “Fun, Fit, and Guilt Free” House Party.
Mousse Temptations by Jell-O
I’ve been struggling on how I should write this post. There is now way I can truly express with words how much fun we had. None of my photos, video, tweet timeline or even a capture from the Ustream chat room, come close to capturing the laughs we had.
This past Saturday there were 7,501 “Fun, Fit and Guilt Free” House Parties held across the United States. We were lucky enough to be one of them. Each party received a copy of the Ubisoft Your Shape featuring Jenny McCarthy and Mousse Temptations by Jello-O to try out. We also received a bonus game from Ubisoft, Just Dance.
The Dark Chocolate Mousse received a big thumbs up and everyone had a chance to see how the Your Shape work out in action…
@SugarJones Testing out Your Shape featuring Jenny McCarthy
I made a few recipes from Lisa Lillien’s Hungry Girl 200 under 200. We had Magical Low-Calorie Margarita’s, Gimme Gimme S’mores Sandwich, Red Velvet Insanity Cupcakes, Rockin’ Restaurant Spinach Dip and a number of other things. I can’t believe they were all low calorie recipes! You can buy your own copy here…
After about an hour of Your Shape, eating and enjoying a drink I remembered we had another game to try out. I grabbed the
and put it in the Wii. This is when the Party really got started, because we all know that
We started to UStream and the chat room voted and the chat room decided we should do Eye of the Tiger. Everyone seemed to enjoy that one!
I want to thank all the ladies for coming! I had such a good time! Thank you UBISOFT and Jell-O for sponsoring the night. Just Dance is now not only my favorite Wii game, but my favorite work out! If only it counted how many calories we burned!
